John Miller

John has been in Cornwall since 2005, when he took up the post of Director of Design at University College Falmouth.

Best known in the furniture world for establishing the Furniture Works centre in London, John is also a designer in his own right, and has designed the Nest chair for the MARK range. His experiences with Furniture Works projects such as Time:Frame and the Isos Collection have been invaluable in setting up MARK, as have his many friends and contacts in the industry.

As Director of Design at University College Falmouth, John has a mission to encourage and support innovation in local businesses and are setting up a new centre, the Academy of Innovation and Research (AIR), to do this. MARK is an example of the kind of project AIR would support.
