I think my parents were possibly the last people in the world to get rid of their old fashioned phone.

When I was a teenager, anxious to call my then BFF (who I’d usually only left twenty minutes ago) to discuss boys and hair, the retro dial used to infuriate me! It’d take much longer compared to a modern phone and my frustration used to be audibly punctuated with loud sighs.

Fast forward 16 years and I long for that gorgeous cream Bakerlite beast that has been replaced by an all singing, dancing space-age design.

This Red Series 302 Telephone from Graham & Green is equally beautiful and deliciously retro and makes a nice change from those new fangled models, best of all, the dial has push buttons so you won’t have a sulky teenager moaning about the time it takes to dial.
