What kind of shelves with this colour scheme

My living room is painted cream on 3 walls with 1 wall a deep red. The furniture is a danish style teak sideboard & teak occasional tables along with a brown leather sofa.

I would like to put some shelves up on the deep red wall but I can’t find anything in teak wood. What other colour or wood would look good?

This is a bit tricky. You could either look for a retro shelving unit that complements your other furniture or buy inexpensive, wooden shelves and paint them the same colour as the wall.

That way they will blend into the wall and appear to float without being too intrusive on your scheme.
