My new house has a white gloss kitchen complete with white wall and floor tiles and stainless steel appliances. I like it but it’s lacking something, any ideas for adding colour? |

You could try something similar to the red and black accents used here |

I had a similar problem and brightened the space up by adding some colourful accessories. I added colourful storage canisters, some bright textiles such as a roller blind and teatowels and some coloured plant pots to create a mini herb garden, it stopped my lovely kitchen from looking too clinical instantly. |

Have you thought about using some coloured flooring. Dalsouple makes really cool rubber flooring in a range of rainbow shades. That should stop your kitchen looking too stark. |

How about changing the tiles and going for a solid colour or a tutti fruit effect by using an assortment of shades. |

You could try some colourful appliances which are widely available from many shops online. Alternatively look for fabrics to use as curtains, blinds, tea towels etc. With white being a core background of the design and then use colours taken from the pattern to dot around the room. Other ideas could be to try some unusual tiles or use tile stickers? |

I love the way colour is used in this kitchen (I got the image from http://roomenvy.wordpress.com/category/quick-peak-at-kitchens/) Colourful accessories, appliances, dining table/chairs if you have room will really brighten up your kitchen and give it the wow factor. It’s sometimes nice to have a clean slate like this! :-) |
