Hello everyone, my new house is all ready and now I want a good interior for my house especially for my bed room and drawing room. My drawing room as well as my bedroom is quite big and spacious but the main problem is that they are lacking enough light. Please suggest me some good ideas.

Hi Tim

Congratulations on your new home – how exciting!! You don’t mention what sort of shape the rooms are or how many windows you have in them but I’m guessing from your post, not many.

An easy and quick way to make sure you home stays light and bright is to paint your walls white. If white is a little too stark for you, try a pale cream or very (and I mean very!) light grey.

Adding mirrors can also add a feeling of light. If you don’t want to add one large mirror, a collection in varying shapes and sizes will also work well.

Don’t forget to post a picture so we can see how your rooms look.

I would recommend building windows so that the light would come through.

Hi, have you thought of adding few spot lights in the ceiling or free standing lamps for added light in your rooms? And go for white / cream beige furniture, curtains, carpets etc. with few colourful accessories for added interest.
