Window Pole with Opening Hook

I’ve just moved into an apartment with very tall windows – the tops can only be opened using a pole with a hook (I remember them from my school days)

I have found a couple of websites selling traditional wooden / brass ones but I’m really looking for a modern version – ideally a REALLY brightly coloured pole and chrome hook.

All suggestions appreciated.

I have trawled the internet too but have only been able to find traditional ones. You could buy one of these and paint it but why not try making your own? Get a local timber merchants to cut one to size and add a chrome hook then paint it in a bright colour.
