Shandong Elm Sideboard
Made during the 1900s, this Shandong sideboard is great example of example Chinese craftsmanship and design during the era. They often made simple yet sturdy pieces back then and you can clearly see that in the beautiful lines as well as solid construction of this piece.
This particular sideboard uses elm wood with a clean finish that allows the attractive rustic wood grain to show through. The finish is actually a rich honey colour which doesn't overpower the look of the natural wood at all.
Apart from the three drawers located at the top, there are two central doors with a removable post for easy storage of bigger items. At the corner of the doors, there are two tiny drawers which can be used for keeping smaller items.
