Black Lacquer Double Cabinet
This Black Double Painted Cabinet was originally made in the 1850s in the Shanxi province of China. This is referred to as a double chest because it comes with two sets of doors.
The entire piece comes with a dark lacquer finish that contrasts nicely against the faded paintings of flowers and birds on the door. There's a box-like shape to the cabinet, making it perfect for corners or even as the main attraction inside a room.
The doors are perfectly fitted on the inside using dowel hinges so they provide the perfect canvass for the paintings up front. At the bottom portion, you'll also find an apron with inscribed symbols for long life. Meanwhile, the frames at the top and the sides are decked in gorgeous dragons.
This is one of those pieces you would love to have, not only for its beauty but for its Oriental flavour. It's definitely worth having inside your home.
