Red Lacquer, Gold Painted Armoire
This Red Lacquer, Gold Painted Armoire was crafted around Qinghai during the 1850s. It carries a very distinct red lacquer finish and retains its original condition even after all these years.
If you look closely, you can see the fine gold details placed on the cabinet. This was termed as 'Miao Jin' in Chinese. It depicts flowers, vases as well as other items that were popular back in the day. The cabinet itself is in excellent shape even though there are some parts that are worn away, it simply gives the item a sense of authentic vintage vibe.
The front cabinets along with the hardware are all original. The only recent additions are the four drawers at the bottom. Adding this makes the piece more perfect for storage.
