Red Lacquer Painted Sideboard
This stunning Red Lacquer Painted Sideboard was originally from the Gansu province in China during the 1880s. The attractive design is one thing but the details are also quite impeccable.
It carries a beautiful red lacquer finish and is crafted from pine wood. The cabinet features spandrels on either side, giving it a stunning butterfly look. Originally, much of the piece would have been traced with gold but over time this has faded. Although you can still see portions of gold if you look closely.
There are two front doors which serve as great storage space since it gives you full access to the entire space. And if you look, there are inscriptions indicated above the handles. As for the circles on either side, this is actually a depiction of a rider on horseback.
