Low Qinghai Kang Cabinet
This low sideboard was first created in the 1860s in the Chinese province of Qinghai. It is made from sturdy pine wood and bears its original dark lacquer shade. Certain parts of the lacquer, especially at the top portion, have worn off. However, this gives the piece an even more authentic character.
There are carved spandrels on each side and it comes with tapered feet. You can tell there's a slight butterfly silhouette echoed at the front portion. Like most furniture in the province, this one carried two small doors including drawers. All of the hardware are still original and in good shape.
Use this inside your living room space as a TV stand or maybe place it inside the room as a low centre table. It is beautiful.
