Red Painted Lacquer Trunk
Beautifully crafted, this antique Red Painted Lacquer Trunk hails from Gansu, China and was crafted around the 1900s. Topped with a gorgeous red lacquer finish, this has somewhat faded in parts but it gives the trunk a really beautiful orange tone.
If you look closely, there are also paintings of flowers all around the box. They were once bright and visible but over time, they have faded into the lacquer. There's a studded brass hardware placed at the front portion of the box.
The trunk was probably used for keeping clothes and other extra linen. Today, you can still use it to store clothes, but it can also work as a storage trunk for memorabilia or maybe children's toys.
Place this inside your bedroom, at the foot of your bed or place it beside your living room sofa.
