Shanxi, circa 1910
This simple stool is in elm and comes from Shanxi in central China. It has a thick plank top with a wonderful weathered, rustic look, sitting over A-frame legs. A single stretcher fits through each pair of legs, secured with a wooden peg. Great as a little side table or for extra seating.
