Altar Cabinet, Black Lacquer

Although there's an extravagant version to this altar cabinet, we've kept our version simple yet functional. Altar tables like these were used by the Chinese not just to offer food or incense but also as a general display table for a variety of items.

The table and cabinet combine to create storage space. The design features a wing like carving at each end. Back then, these were included to signify that they were also used for religious function. For this version, there are three drawers and two doors ensuring you can store different items such as clothes, linen or even special pieces you might have at home.

Part of our Classical Chinese furniture range, it is made from beautiful reclaimed elm wood. Choose from major shades: warm elm or black lacquer finish. A custom finish is also possible and can be made to order.
