Lacquer Wedding Cabinet, Cream Lacquer

In Chinese custom, cabinets similar to this were given as part of the bride's dowry. It often included contents like clothes and other items as well. Normally, they were done in a red or black lacquer finish but for this version we've made it into beautiful cream white.

These are also decorated with large brass plates for contrast and function including etchings of animals found in the Chinese zodiac. The cabinet is also equipped with hanging rails for the Western style of storage. Also, the shelves are removable for ease.
