Woodland Mirror, £85, from Hunkydory Home

Add a touch of nature to your wall with this Woodland Mirror from Hunkydory Home. £85

As much as I love my 1930’s bevelled mirror and would dearly love to have a house full of them, I’ve been on the lookout for something a little different for my hallway.

This Woodland Mirror from Hunkydory Home could be just the thing and is perfect for giving my home a touch of nature without being too twee.

At first glance, this mirror appear to be your bog standard Rococo-style mirror but on closer inspection, you’ll see it’s much more than that.

Call me an old romantic but while it’s still four months to my first wedding anniversary, I’m already thinking about what to buy him indoors as a present.

Given that after our nuptials, our pianist played Love Is All You Need, this cushion featuring the iconic Beatles lyrics seems to be the perfect choice. Just better hope he doesn’t read this!

And with wedding season well and truly upon us, it also makes the perfect wedding gift and will make a nice change to the ubiquitous toaster.

Flow Nest of Two Tables by Kay + Stemmer, £795, from Heal's

Make sure you have a table for every occasion with this Flow Nest of Two Tables by Kay + Stemmer from Heal's. £795

i have confession to make; as well as being a bit of a geek when it comes to chairs, I also have a penchant for nests of tables.

When you think about it, they are rather practical pieces of furniture. Easy to stash away when you don’t need them and on hand when you do.

I am particularly taken with this Flow Nest of Two Tables by Kay + Stemmer, available from Heal’s.

Globe Bulb, £12.78, from Tigermoth Lighting

Less is more with these Globe Bulbs from Tigermoth Lighting. £12.78

While bare bulbs remind some of student accommodation, those in the know, erm well, know that they’re far cooler than that.

A perfect example of this trend are the Globe Bulbs from one of my favourite lighting companies Tigermoth Lighting.

Available in two sizes, these simple bulbs are not for hiding in shades, oh no, they’re there to be admired in all the simple beauty.

A row of them at varying heights would look stunning over a dining table or you could try using a cluster by your front door.

Jeyo Sideboard, £895, from Graham & Green

Keep your clutter at bay in style with this Jeyo Sideboard from Graham & Green. £895

I think it’s fair to say that I am now also completely obsessed with sideboards, and as much as I love my original G Plan one, I’m always on the hunt for new ones.

This Jeyo Sideboard from Graham & Green is my latest sideboard crush. I love the splayed legs and mixture of wood and white gloss.

Perfect for a living room or dining room, it would also work equally well in a hallway as a super dooper console.

Herb Stand, £31.99, from Bodie and Fou

Keep your herbs in check with this Herb Stand from Bodie and Fou. £31.99

As much as I would love to have a miniature herb garden in my kitchen, my rather narrow windowsill doesn’t allow for one.

Or so I thought until I stumbled across this Herb Stand from Bodie and Fou.

The neat stand is designed to hold four herbs but is small enough to be in even the tiniest of kitchens.

It also houses a handy pair of scissors so you can snip your herb straight into your culinary delights.

Bamboo Bowls, from £15, from Also Home

Get your summer dining sorted with these Bamboo Bowls from Also Home. From £15

With summer hopefully just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about al fresco dining.

My plan is to make the most of my garden by holding lots of barbecues as soon as the weather starts to get better.

As I’m a rather clumsy person (my lovely husband even made reference to my calamities in his wedding speech), I rather loathed to risk my precious china outside.

Instead I’m going to be investing in lots of bright melamine and these fab Bamboo Bowls from Also Home.

Available in green or white and three sizes, they’re perfect for serving salad, bread and fruit.

And being made from bamboo, they’re eco too.
